Project Historical Ontology of Urban Space: Workshop #2: sources and #urbanonto building

Project Historical Ontology of Urban Space: Workshop #2: sources and #urbanonto building

Despite all current odds, the team involved it the project „Historical Ontology of Urban Space” invites you to the next workshop: September, 28–30th, 2020.

We plan three lectures, common work and discussions on notions describing urban space.

We invite you to put your proposal of definition for some of the above mentioned notions (harbour, chapel, school, industry, street, park, garden, square) into a form we elaborated to build the #urbanonto system. The form is a simple chart with two columns and a short instruction at the beginning. We want to ask all the participants to read all the prepared definitions before the workshop and to be ready for a common discussion. We want to elaborate together eight “golden definitions” of the selected notions necessary to build an #urbanonto model. Interested in the experiment? Just give us a sign by sending an application form before the deadline (September 2nd, 2020) on urbanonto@ihpanstary.aionline.dev and start elaborating charts with the definitions. We will confirm your participation till Friday, September 4th, 2020. We will ask you to send us a file with proposals of definitions on urbanonto@ihpanstary.aionline.dev before September 20th, 2020. We will share these proposals with all the participants by uploading anonymous charts online, so that everybody can read them. Workshop is free of charge, open, and online.

The project is funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
