The Candidates should possess a degree of doctor of the humanities (Ph.D.) and be able to proof outstanding research achievements within the scope of medieval history of Eastern Europe as well as in the corresponding source studies and/or source editing. They also should possess a documented experience in Latin and Slavic/Russian palaeography, and use following languages: Polish, Russian, English, German, Ukrainian (at least basic) and Old Church Slavonic. The candidates should present a research project which conforms to the profile of the Department of source criticism and editing of the Institute of History PAS.
They also will be expected to declare the consent for inclusion in the number of employees conducting scientific activity in the Institute during the employment period.
The Candidates are requested to submit following documents*:
– the application letter addressed to the director of the Institute of History,
– curriculum vitae,
– a copy of PhD diploma,
– information about scientific achievements and the list of publications,
– Candidate’s statement that if selected, the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences will be their primary employer.
