What? The volume undermines the narrative of European secularization as enforced by one of the most prominent medievalists of the past century, Ernst H. Kantorowicz.
Speakers include: Conrad Leyser (Oxford), Conor O’Brien (Oxford), and Paweł Figurski (Warsaw / Cambridge). The event will be chaired by Joshua Hordern (Oxford).
Wine reception follows the discussion to celebrate the launch of the volume.
The project is a result of the PSALM-Network, an academic society that gathers scholars interested in the intersection of political, social, and liturgical history.
