Invitation to the Assemani Seminar for Eastern Catholic History

Invitation to the Assemani Seminar for Eastern Catholic History

The Assemani Seminar for Eastern Catholic History aims to create a common platform for conversation between scholars interested in the history of various Eastern Catholic communities from the Middle Ages until today. The main goal of this initiative is to enable exchange between scholars specialised in different periods and fields. Building on the success of our first season that took place in the first half of 2022, this time we focus on East Central Europe, covering the lands of the former Habsburg Monarchy and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Each seminar will feature a presentation by an invited scholar followed by a friendly discussion. In most cases, draft papers will be circulated in advance.

All sessions of the Assemani Seminar will take place online on Zoom.
